Gary Oldman. I got a good story about that one. Wanna hear? So I get out of the Hotel and I’m in LA, like last… two weeks ago or three weeks ago… and I based Riggs off his look, off Gary Oldman in.. what was that movie? ‘State of Grace’! Right? He’s a mess in ‘State of Grace’, and I loved it, so I took pieces of that and put them in Riggs. So I see Gary Oldman who’s very much a big, you know, not an idol, but I look up to that guy. He’s such a great character actor, a camaleont, and so I BOMBARD him, I BOMBARD the guy. Like it’s this young hungry actor… he’s just sitting there, chilling with his friend who’s a producer and I knew. I’m like: “I gotta tell him, I gotta tell him what he’s meant to me!” so I got up and like bombarded him for two minutes hard, and it was great because his producer friend knew who I was- he had no clue who I was- but I’m like: “Look I played this guy for five years, it’s kind of this cult tv-show, and I based him off you in ‘State of Grace’ so I just wanted to tip my hat to you and just say you are just an amazing character actor, you deserved that oscar this year. And he’s like, you know, just having a smoke, just taking it in, but it helped that the producer was like: “Yeah, he’s not a crazy fan, he’s actually an actor”. So that was good. So that was a good little moment there.
